Although I had decided to find the news popup on every Hexagon start “charming”, it wasn’t until this week that I got a tip from one of my supporters on how to turn it off. I must admit that it does get in the way for quick fixes. Here’s how to do it:
- start Hexagon
- head over to Edit – Preference Editor – Misc
- disable “Check Hexagon News”
- enable “Don’t show the same news twice”
- close Hexagon (important: a crash won’t save your settings)
I already had the news disabled, but the window kept popping up. It wasn’t until Steve suggested that I tick that box. Thanks for the heads up 😀
